On Friday February16th Mahaprabhu Das, Director of Belgium’s Museum of Sacred Art (MOSA), met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Residence in New Delhi.

Mahaprabhu Das presented the Prime Minister with a copy of the book Forms of Devotion – The Spiritual in Indian Art, a two-volume set published by MOSA. Presenting it with him were the book’s author Sushma Bahl and the co-curator of the Forms of Devotion Exhibit, which ran in New Delhi from March to April 2015.

Mahaprabhu spoke with Prime Minister Modi about the possibility of presenting the Exhibit in a European City to coincide with one of his future visits to the continent. The meeting lasted about eight minutes.

“The Prime Minister was very friendly and relaxed, and also very attentive and present while we talked,” says Mahaprabhu. “The Museum of Sacred Art, which is based in ISKCON’s Radhadesh community in Belgium, has helped his Office find quality art from our collection to gift to world leaders when he travels abroad. His residence is also decorated with the work of many artists from MOSA’s collection.”
