A preaching center of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) burned down in West Bengal’s Birbhum district on Saturday, December 17, ISKCON officials reported.

No casualty was reported by ISKCON officials. The center called the ‘Bhaktivedanta Vocational Training Centre’, opened around five months ago.

According to a Times of India article from December 17, Sevakpratim Madhab Das, who is in charge of the center, said, “We suspect that the house was set on fire by some miscreants who don’t want us to work here. We have lodged a complaint with the police.”

Additionally, the article confirmed that a Police complaint was filed and members associated with ISKCON set up a protest after the fire on the NH-14 (Panagarh-Morgram) road shortly after some time against the alleged arson.
