Heaven X, Former No 1 Book Distributor Becomes Hip Hop Artist

Jaya Chaitanya Das, the former number one book distributor in North America is back on the scene after two years, this time with his new hip hop album. His first single is set to release on April 29, 2022, and an exciting trailer has just been released.

Jaya Chaitanya Das has been living in the ashram as a monk for six years and has been particularly active in book distribution. He at one time received the title of Number One Book Distributor in America and the main reason why was his particular brand and style of reaching the hearts of people. When one looks back, you can see he always had a sweet swag style, even while distributing books.

Jaya Chaitanya aka Heaven X had a hip-hop background and traveled on a tour with KRS-One, a famous contemporary American rapper, before joining the ashram. Even during that time, he saw an intrinsic connection between Krishna conscious culture and hip-hop. Jaya was even making beats listening to the Bhagavatam morning lectures. As he says “I was making beats before joining the ashram but I did not have the confidence to speak. After joining the ashram and becoming a public speaker, that gave me the courage to start rapping.”

Going from temple life back to the hip-hop scene was daunting, but luckily, everything fell nicely into place; each piece of a puzzle was coming together, and then finding the local recording studio and first-class sound engineer were the cherries on top.

Heaven X’s music is not only about swag and style, he also wants to show people the joys of sobriety and straight edge; reminiscent of the punk and hardcore music scenes.

Heaven X goes on to describe how he wants to take what he learned from his ashram life to the hip-hop music scene. His first single ‘Kids’ talks all about it. Listening to the music of Heaven X sets you on a journey of emotions from guidance, to responsibility, and all the way to love for the planet. He definitely takes hip-hop music to a higher platform, and the refrain of “Om Namoh Bhagavate Vasudevaye” calls for heaven’s grace upon your soul.
